Book 1: The Yiddish Policemen's Union

The book Dukes recommended (The Yiddish Policemen's Union)
apparently has a lot of yiddish in it, which might make it harder to
read/less interesting for those of us who aren't Adam Charnack.

My brand new roommate read that book and said it wasn't too Yiddish to understand...?

oh, hey, i just figured it out. ok, i am game for reading policeman book or the other that i suggested via email or something completely different. also, beowulf should only be seen in 3-d

you can see beowulf in 3-D. that movie looked terrible. Why the hell is it animated in the first place? And who decides to make a movie about the oldest epic in history. Don't they know it's impossible to make that good unless the people making the movie know what they're doing (and it's not animated).

what policeman book?

umm, the yiddish policemen's union. the one we have all been talking about... nevermind. anyway, beowulf was super-rad in a heavy metal sex video way and 3-d is really the only way to go.

oh...policeMEN. you said policeMAN. yeah, that's what was so confusing.

ok. so i'm supposed to actually read this thing too? I thought it was all about talking about reading books.

How about we define the reading period? Anyone wanna suggest a time period? How about a month...until 12/28? Or, because of this time of year, until 1/20 or something? I think the ending date should be on a weekend...maybe on sundays so mere can cram in the last 100 pages at the last minute in college-like fashion.

month is fine with me, or a month and half. either way.
